I am inspired to share about the world of Ayurveda. Born and raised as a first generation Indian, I was not keen on following the Ayurvedic lifestyle. In fact, I did not even know it was Ayurveda, just simply an archaic method of living from India that I did not relate to in any way. Only many years and many health issues later did I start to see how fundamental the ancient 5,000 year old principles and way of life can allow us to live the most optimally in all ways for our body, mind and soul. It has a been a full circle for me, but this time around I intend to have a different journey with Ayurveda.

I have attended Bryn Mawr College, Wharton School of Business, Parsons School of Design, yet I kept searching, yearning to find my life purpose- my dharma. Momentarily, I would believe that I was following “my path” only to be led restless once again. I felt like the odd girl out and my intuition always told me this is not my intended path.

Prior to my pregnancy with my first son, I was led both professionally and personally to learn about Ayurveda. I became a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor at the Kripalu School of Ayurveda in Lenox, MA and since then my life has never been the same. Growing up, I had pushed Ayurveda away and here I was trying to learn every bit of the ancient wisdom in hope of carrying it forward with my son. I believe if we can imbibe the most nourishing diet and lifestyle practices from the beginning, then we are setting our children up for a lifetime of internal and external balance.

Born and raised in a family that chose the business and finance route, I began to feel more and more isolated with the way I began living, thinking, breathing -just being. Ayurveda opened my eyes and for the first time I could see through the veil of the inescapable imbalances of life in our modern day life. Preaching about the Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle practices was not going to be sufficient, nor effective for long term implementation. I intend to help others achieve optimal health through aligning their body and mind with the proper individualized Ayurvedic plan best suited towards their needs. I seek to accomplish helping others and leading by example on how to apply Ayurveda in a practical manner to the modern world.

I am a mother of two rowdy boys and know the challenges of day to day life and incorporate Ayurveda in a way that is practical and doable for my busy life. This Ayurvedic blog was created to be practical enough to apply realistically to daily life without intimidation, but most importantly for me to share my knowledge in the light of truth and inspire you to live your own the truth. This blog is intended to help start your healing journey.
